OC Guide Dogs Chapter Meeting | October 28, 2023

First Aide for Guide Dogs and handlers with guest Veterinarian, Costume Parade and more!

Our speaker will be Cindy Barekman.

Cindy Barekman was raised in northern California and western Canada. She attended UC Davis and graduated in 1983 with a doctorate in veterinary medicine. She practiced small animal medicine for 39 1/2 years and retired at the end of 2022. She is currently raising her fourth puppy for guide dogs for the blind. 

We will also have a brief discussion of procedures for outings and a discussion about other possible outings.

Traditionally, this is our Halloween meeting so some like to put a costume on their dog for this meeting.  Paulette is coming as a guide dog! Lol but if anyone wants to dress their dog up feel free.

I expect that the puppy raisers will have their typical Christmas party; it’s always a terrific event and we are most appreciative of it.
