Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experiences of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, vision cleared, ambition inspired and success achieved.
Creating a Community to Support, Inform and Promote the use of Guide Dogs
As guide dog users, it is important for us to not only get together as a group and share ideas, it is also very important for us to spread the word about how much having a guide dog means to us. A special thanks to our puppy raisers and our schools where the dogs train, for they have made a huge difference in our lives.
OC Guide Dogs was formed in September of 2013 as a way to assist new guide dog users in adjusting to life at home. Our alumni association chapter will work to support alumni success with their guides, to build relationships with others, and to contribute to the GDB community. Our chapter is open to any visually impaired person in Orange County, with or without a guide dog. Friends and family are invited as well Membership is free and we ask for a $2.00 donation towards refreshments.
